“How do you create so many characters in Sudden Dawn, the first book in the Lost Tradition series, and distinguish their roles clearly?” my first editor asked.

“Sudden Dawn is about polygamous home settings, a culture in Nigeria where a man can have many wives and a large family. The novel depicts the daily lives of certain upper-class people and peasants,” I replied.

“What feelings do the setting, tone, and characters give you?” I finally asked my editor.

She said, “It actually brings me closer to Yoruba marriage and culture.”

In conclusion, the Lost Tradition series takes the reader on a journey through ancient Yoruba marriages, Westernization, and modern love. The novel is a satire on some families and their bizarre behavior.
